Itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Mumbai
Namaste and welcome to India! On the day of arrival at Mumbai Airport, BookWildlifeSafari adventure representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2Exploring Mumbai and Elephanta Island
After breakfast at the hotel, head towards the Gateway of India, an iconic landmark overlooking the Arabian Sea. Spend some time taking photos and enjoying the view. Walk to the nearby Mumbai Harbor and catch a ferry to Elephanta Island. The ferry ride takes about an hour, providing scenic views of the Mumbai coastline.
Arrive at Elephanta Island and explore the magnificent Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ancient rock-cut caves date back to the 5th to 8th centuries and feature intricately carved sculptures and temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. Later return to Mumbai via ferry.
Once back in Mumbai, head to Prince of Wales Museum, you can find interesting artifacts of Indus Valley civilization here. Later visit Mani Bhavan, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi.
After that Visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning Victorian-Gothic architecture. Take a moment to appreciate the intricate details of this historic railway station.
In the evening, explore the vibrant Colaba Causeway, a bustling street lined with shops, boutiques, and street vendors. This is a great place to shop for souvenirs, clothing, jewelry, and more. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mumbai.
Day 3Mumbai - Jabalpur (By Flight) - Bandhavgarh (170 kms/4 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to Mumbai Airport to board a flight to Jabalpur. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the Jabalpur airport and transfer you to the Bandhavgarh National Park. Bandhavgarh National Park was the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Rewa, the park is also famous for its tiger population.
Upon arrival at Bandhavgarh, check-in at your resort. Rest of the day at leisure or indulge yourself in leisure activities such as taking a walk in the nearby area, enjoying the lush greenery around, interacting with the park's naturalist and so on. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 4Morning and Afternoon Safaris at Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy early morning and afternoon jeep safari's inside the national park to enjoy bird watching along with tiger-tracking. Bandhavgarh national park is known for being home to as many as 150 avifauna species. You can spot a number of colourful birds such as Bay Backed Shrike, White Eyed Buzzard, Indian Moorhen, Olive Backed Pipit, Black Headed Oriole, Yellow Crowned Woodpecker, Barred Button Quail, White Browed Fantail Flycatcher, Rose Ringed Parakeet, Alexandrine Parakeet and more. Also visit the Bandhavgarh Fort, located inside the park. Bandhavgarh Fort is placed on a hill, this fort is around 811 meters above the sea level. It is believed that this fort is 2000-years old. The fort has a total of 39 caves. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 5Bandhavgarh - Kanha National Park (215 kms/5 hrs drive)
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Kanha National Park - one of the most well-maintained national parks in Asia. This park was an inspiration behind the popular novel by Rudyard Kipling - The Jungle Book. Spread in 940 sq. km of land, this national park has Indian wild dogs, Royal Bengal Tiger, sloth bears, leopards, and barasingha in good numbers. Upon arrival at the national park, check-in at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure, indulge yourself in leisure activities such as taking a walk in the nearby area, enjoying the lush greenery around, interacting with the park's naturalist and so on. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 6Morning and Afternoon Safaris at Kanha National Park
Enjoy 2 jeep safari's today inside the Kanha National Park, one early in the morning and 2nd later in the afternoon. Explore the exotic variety of the park, also enjoy the verdant flora that is spread around. Kanha is known for housing more than 1000 species of flowering plants. During wildlife viewing, you can spot varied animals and birds like, Royal Bengal Tiger, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, jackal fox, sambar, gaur, peafowl, mongoose, leopard, python, spurfowl, ring doves, kingfishers, finches, woodpeckers, flycatchers, pintails, pond herons, rock pigeons, papihas, cuckoos, parakeets, green pigeons and so on. Also visit the Bamni Dadar or the Sunset Point, a major attraction inside the park. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 7Kanha - Pench National Park (240 Km - 5.30 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, enjoy the drive to the Pench national park by road. Covering an area of around 758 sq. km of land, this national park is the original setting of the Rudyard Kipling's - The Jungle Book. This national park also finds its mention in Ain-i-Akbari, because of its natural wealth. In 2011, Pench also won the Best Management Award. Upon arrival at the Pench National Park, check-in at the resort. Rest of the day free for own leisure activities or simply relax at the resort. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 8Morning and Afternoon Safaris at Pench National Park
Today, enjoy wildlife safari inside the park, once in the morning and another one in the evening. During game viewing, you can spot several animal and bird species such as barking deer, sloth bear, porcupine, fox, Jungle cat, chowsingha, tigers, panthers, wild dog, lesser whistling teal, egret, racket-tailed drongo, chital, spotted deer, pintail, herons, magpie robin, barbet, red-vented bulbul and more. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 9Pench - Nagpur (85 kms/2.30 hrs drive) - Mumbai (By Flight)
After breakfast at the resort, our representative will transfer you to the Nagpur airport to board the flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival at Mumbai Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10Departure from Mumbai
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the Mumbai airport to board the flight to your home or onward destination.
